Our cows and calf

Opie, you haven't finished your milk.  We can't put it back in the cow, you know.
~From The Andy Griffith Show

These are our Beef master cows,

Heidi is the solid black one, she normally has twins. But this year she didn't, she had a black calf named Jessica.  Heidi is affectionate and will eat ranch cubes out of your hand.  She is fearless of people but she sometimes is bossy.
The white faced is Opal, she is friendly and bold.  She had a calf August 23, sadly it passed away the
next morning.  She will also eat ranch cubes out of your hand.  She's has loose stubs for horns those are called floaters.
Lacy is the light brown one, she had her calf named Helen on August 3rd 2011.  She is friendly and will eat out of your hand.  Over all she is a good cow and full of energy.
The dark brown and white one is Crystal.  She is a little skittish but lately she has been coming closer. We are waiting on her to have her calf.
The little dark brown calf's name is Helen her mom is Lacy.
We recently got a black and white steer, his name is Ferdinand.  He will follow you around like a big dog, but he is a little bit bossy.
It  has been a very fun to own cattle but it has been hard too.

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoy this post,
